In a historic milestone, Meatworld International Inc., conducted a press conference as part of the grand opening celebration of Mrs. Garcia's Meats' first-ever community meat store along Congressional Ave., Quezon City to formally present the business to the public.

The press conference was held at Paseo de Magallanes, where media representatives from the Philippine Daily Inquirer, People's Journal, Business Mirror, Pinoy Trends Online, Iconic MNL, Digital Filipina, United Daily News, Adae2remember, Buzzsetter, Speed Magazine, Business World, Wazzup Ph, and others were there.

Chief Operating Officer, Bernadette M. Lee, responded to questions during the press conference last Wednesday, October 12, 2022, with enthusiasm and vigor. Joined by Miguel F. Macaalay the Business Unit Head,  Zenaida Mercado, the Chief Finance Officer, and Sheila Padilla, the Marketing Manager.

"This is our newest channel of distribution, which is our community meat shop. It’s a neighborhood meat shop that emulates a supermarket-type of grocery experience. We carry various meat products from beef, pork, chicken, and some seafood products,"  Chief Operating Officer Bernadette M. Lee said in a press conference on Wednesday. 

As part of the expansion, we’d like to promote and provide quality meats to our customers. Given that, there have been gaps in certain places that don’t carry the meat we’re selling, particularly other meats with special cuts that are unavailable in supermarkets. With that, Mrs. Garcia’s opened an online store.

"We have our website, mrsgarcias.com.ph, and everyone is encouraged to visit our website. They're, of course, a digital meat shop open 24/7," Business Unit Head, Miguel F. Macaalay said.

"Of course, we are on Lazmall and Shopeemall. Try to visit us there as well. We have a lot of other projects in the pipeline, so the end goal is to bring our meat products to our consumers wherever they are," he added.

Last October 11, 2022, we celebrated the grand opening of Mrs. Garcia’s Meatshop in Congressional Ave., Quezon City. During the ceremony, Rev. Father Charles Antonysamy led us in prayer, followed by the official cutting of ribbon administered by Meatworld International Inc., Chief Operating Officer Bernadette M. Lee, and was joined by our Human Resources Director, Clara R. Sumajit, Supply Chain Management Director Janette Ko, Business Unit Head, Miguel F. Macaalay and Marketing Manager, Sheila Padilla.

Aside from celebrating our 25th year of doing business and nourishing millions of Filipino families with our fresh, affordable, safe, and high-quality meat products, this year also marks another milestone as we open our first-ever community store – Mrs. Garcia’s Meatshop." Chief Operating Officer Bernadette M. Lee said on the Grand Opening Day.

As part of the ceremony, Rev. Father Charles blessed the facilities, equipment, and then the coins and candy shower. To get everyone excited, we also launched the Mrs. Garcia’s Meats’ Official Jingle with a dance performance.

In the closing ceremony, Human Resources Director Clara R. Sumajit gave everyone a short message: "This is an opportunity to thank first and foremost the Lord and each and every one of you who helped make this day possible. I would like to end this ceremony by giving you some words from Arthur T. Demoulas, "By working together—and only together—do we succeed."

Truly, we cannot contain the joy in our hearts by getting this honor of having our very own meatshop. We couldn't have gotten this far without the support of our loyal customers.
