1. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel to achieve a perfect sear and minimize oil splatter.

​2. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

​3. Place the steaks in the pan and sear each side for 3-4 minutes until a brown crust forms.

​4. Melt butter with quartered garlic cloves and herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) in the pan. Tilt the pan to spoon the garlic butter over the steaks.

5. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing it against the grain.
