
Ingredients
- 1 kg Mrs. Garcia's Beef Ribs
- 5 cups Water
- 1 pc White Onion (peeled)
- 5 cloves Garlic (peeled)
- 2 pcs Ginger (peeled)
- 1/4 tsp Fine Salt
- 4 cups Beef Stock
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds (toasted)
- 1/4 cup Onion (Sliced)
Preparation

In a large pot, put beef ribs together with garlic, whole onion, ginger, and salt. Add water and make sure all meat pieces are immersed in water. Bring to a boil then reduce to medium heat, then cook for 30 - 45 minutes, remove the scum on top.
- Remove beef stock and reserve its braising liquid. Set aside garlic, onion, and ginger.
- Return meat into the pot, then add ingredients for braising liquid - beef stock, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce to medium heat and cook beef for about 1 to 1.5 hours or until tender.
- Taste sauce, add more sugar or fish sauce if necessary. Then add sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, and sliced scallions. Serve hot with Korean bean sprouts, kimchi, and rice.
